Constant coating layer thickness vs thickness as a function of mean curvature.
I think it gives quite a cool effect, like a varnished child's toy.

Using curvature + noise to blend between two materials - in this case a blue phong and a white diffuse.
The intention here is to do a kind of 'scuffed edges' material.

We neeeeed Exporter support for the new stuff, then people would start to play way more with the new stuff!

woooowww, this will make some great dirt materials, is there a way to choose between different blending noises? would also be useful to do weighted curvatures, fe do stronger blend on +y/-y axis for architectural rendering, there you mostly have more scuffed edges faces on showing upwards edges, not the side ones...
hope you get my point, otherwise i can try to make pictures to show
