Indigo Soft Look - Technical

Post by Sroka8888 » Tue Apr 13, 2021 8:27 am

What give Indigo this soft ( almost real camera + lens ) look ?

Use:

Splat Filter - Radial
Downsize Filter - Mitchell Netravali cubic
Ring - 0
Blur - 1
Radius 1.6

Change this settings dont change image dramatic so is not this.

I use real size objects (scale 1.0) , real values focal lenght, f-stop , sensor size (FF 65mm).

Of course beauty defocus give a lot but even f-22.0 on lens (so defocus is very small) , and render in 6K resolution still gvie soft , beautiful image ( not to sharp like in other renders on that resolution).

What is this magic ? :D

Indigo use some lens in calculation ,and this give this soft ?

Indigo use some magic filters in engine ?

Light us propagate/scatter in different way ? even if no using spectral ?

This soft is so beautiful ,and realistic that all people who see this images like it, because is look so real.

Is soft but still sharp in detalis so you have real look of photo/film
