Thanks for those, manitwo. I think I'll leave firefox off my page (only cos I don't want to include IE7 ;)). The rest I'll add.

I have alphabetized the list on my site. Thought I ought to before it gets too big to handle!

Hey, Manitwo. Have you checked the list on my website? It's pretty long now, but it's all sorted in to order. Don't stop posting new ones :D

First post here...

How 'bout PlantStudio?

http://www.kurtz-fernhout.com/PlantStudio/

I've tried rendering a scene with flowers out of SketchUp, and it kind of works. PlantStudio can export as 3ds, but different apps like different 3ds formats (I know this as I am writing a 3ds exporter for my own app). I tried exporting several flowers at once and the colors get screwed up. They might have to be exported one at a time.

So that should add to a good list of free vegetation generators:

Arbaro (http://arbaro.sourceforge.net/) for trees (haven't tried it, but it exports obj), PlantStudio for flowers, and the ivy generator for, um, ivy.

I sure hope so. I just tried a palm tree out of Arbaro into SketchUp, exported and it crashed Indigo 0.6 (haven't tried 0.7). Plus it took ages to get that far.

I've added these last three to the list, although my image server seems to be down at the moments, so you can't tell what platform they work on!
