Damn... this is what I call texturing.
Bodypaint, you gotta watch out... or quickly steal this texture projection painting!

Blender has projection painting but it's not as fluid from the tutorials I've seen so far.

Bodypaint has this too, for a long time... but only with brushes etc.
Project-painting photo textures so easily, and with this cool automatic transfer mode... ENVY!

well the modelling of my avatar is not that good, but texturing was done in blender via projection painting of actual photos and worked quite well!
It just doesn't look as good as zbrush i guess, but the feature is really neat! 8)

Wow zbrush looks mad. It'd be very fun being a 3d modeller these days.

Nice!

Now you can be an artist instead of a data entry modeller + texturer

one reason why I always found traditional modelling a PITA

I need to upgrade my PC first though

My only issue with z-brush and, well, that kind of modeling in general is that what we end up seeing is a milllion and one near identical results; namely old wrinkled male busts and monster busts. Get's boring after a while no? :?

A few modellers like Silo, combine both approaches, traditional and sculpting together in one seamlessly

Cool stuff, but both are wrinkled monsters ^^

Well, zbrush is for cg and cg (e: in the common acception) is for entertainment... you can trust the wrinled unless it's trying to eat you, I guess

You should acquire the trial and see if it suits you before buying it :)
