I'm kind of given indigo a break until Blender2.5 comes out. I've started to realize that my workflow is more trouble than neccesary and the right way is just model and render in the same app.

Before my workflow was
1. Model in Silo or Modo 302
2. Export to Obj
3. Import into sketchup (30,000 polies can take up to 10 minutes, it's really old, half assed script that im using)
4) Get materials and lighting sorted out
5) Render.

Not directly related to Blender 2.5 but...close enough. This is a video about BMesh. For those of you not following the developpement of Blender, BMesh is a project which has for a goal to bring N-Gon support to Blender (since were currently limited to quads/tris).

ngons and editable hotkeys, woah...

I know, you are hating me

Hehe, good news for sure ! While ngons are bad for animation, pentagons for instance can be usefull (cheaper and nicer) for organic modeling when subdivided.

Yeah I haven't taken a look at the video on modifying panels in the interface. I'll have to check that. It would be cool to have the Blendigo panels integrated directly in the interface rather than in the scripts window :)

We're working on render api integration for indigo w/ 2.5. Might have a prototype in a week or two. We're doing it with Doug who's also doing the lux integration, so there will be two good renderers available for Blender.
