Hello there there I know that this project may not sound of interest to many but we need your help (especially since this might seem sort of simple to those of you who are advanced at this) There is a pokemon 3d mmorpg project (i know for most its a thing of the past, but thats beside the point). They have a limited staff and the project has been going on for about 6 years now and they need your help. Please help contribute. Its fairly simple and they use the Blender program but they have to work on the rest of the game plus modeling the pokemon which has a great delay on the game. If we could at least get a few people to help that would be great.

If you want you can make the basic form of the model or even the do the model fully or incomplete (if you get tired of it)Pm and I'll give you my email to send me the file and someone else can finish it up. (you'll get credit)

http://z00ttheater.com/website/pokedex/ here is some of their work so far.

the main site: http://z00ttheater.com/website/projects/1

and the forum: http://www.z00ttheater.com/ekaiyo/index.php

Please leave a post and vote on the poll.

The pokemon model should have 700-800 triangles and so far the limit of polygons is 2000.

Here's the link that shows whats done, what's in progress, and ones that haven't been done or claimed. Picked one that is not claimed.

The models are made in Blender, 3Ds max, Maya but any program that can export to .X file or .obj format is good. Or maybe to a format that you can load from a tool that can export to .X - as long as you give coders .X files, we don't ask how you create them. Show moomoo your work (as he is the leader of the graphics artists), and if he agrees, you can help.

Create a low-poly (maximum 2000 polygons) pokemon model. It has to be fully textured, it's libs have to be welded into body, not sticked into it. No polygon lossage - if an area which is represented by 4 polygons can be represented by one, downsize. Model has to be created as a mesh. Of course it has to be SHAPED like the pokemon you were creating. There are many pictures of the pokemon online. Use them as a reference. Check this topic also:

Same here, though I'd start with one single poket bastard as try out. That said, I don't use Blender, is it mandatory ?

You realize, of course, that Nintendo has trademarks on... practically every Pokemon, Pokeballs, Pokedex in addition to the name of the game itself..

The project looks good (seriously. I expected a typical "fan made game" piece of crap)! But they WILL hear from Nintendo's lawyers, which is unfortunate.

I'm still willing to model a pokee-pokee if reference images are given, I'm sure lawyers do care of nintendo artists happyness also, and artists love to see their work taken as a reference (if not claimed differently of course).

They are not going to sue fans, right ?

Are you planning to do all of them or only earth type, any limitation in the project as compared with the wiki database ?

My email is available here. What is the maximum cound of the

Aleksander

700-800 triangles and 1000 polygons (sometimes ranges on how big it is )
