Very cool. I would really like to get it. The nurbs modelling looks good.
But is this not only the 7.6 upgrade? so you can download it for free IF you have 7.5?

Incredible, though not the first to offer a "complete" package for free.
- Autodesk provides Maya PLE (almost all features, but watermarks, and saved files are incompatible with full version)
- Houdini has a free learning edition (which lacks scripting iirc).
Nice to have other options available

IT CONTAINS NO RENDERER!
Yeah it's a full version, you can model, preview, simulate etc etc, but you can't render anything

I'm not sure I have the mental strength to write yet another exporter

Thanks for the link, never tried Truespace, I'll give it a try.
EDIT: Nice download rate on this thing! 1600k a sec!

Yes it does. You have to be in Model space though to use it. And no options available. Kind of suck.

Okay I installed, was bewildered by the UI, farked around for 15 minutes, and uninstalled.
I'll watch the training videos later when i have time, but I don't see any immediate benefits I could gain by using truespace alongside blender (I use MoI for most of my modeling anyway)

Maybe this has something to do with the fact that Microsoft recently acquired Caligari?
MS Virtual Earth is supposed to compete with Google Earth . . . maybe they want to get trueSpace out there to transition it into their version of SketchUp?

They mention that it is better than SketchUP so ... maybe. But again there is no gain against blender + wings + moi.
