Give some time to open source.

Hi,

some of you may have already heard about it, but Blender Foundation has started an open game project named "Apricot". So far they're doing good and the game is progressing well, but in order to make it available to as many systems as possible they need help.

It's simple really. all you need is to run the benchmark scene and you're done. To make it even simpler for you I'll give you the download links and all you have to do is enjoy the ride.

The benchmark is rather simple, but it's interesting to see the progression as all the features get turned on one after another.

So here's all you should need :

Blender 2.46 rev 15606 Apricot (Windows)
Benchmark scene

To run the benchmark all you need to do is run the Blender rev 15606. Open the benchmark scene. And press P. that's it.

Then copy the contents of apricot_benchmark_glsl_stats.txt to this page here :
http://apricot.blender.org/?p=258

-Borg

P.S: If you're using another operating system than Windows, go to:
http://graphicall.org
and select your OS in the dropdown and look for an apricot build which has a revision number equal or greater to 15606.

Great! :) Keep them coming, the more the better. I'm sure this game will be fun when it comes out.
