I just returned from the theatre.

It was the best movie I've ever seen. (And I'm a movie buff..)

Seriously. Go and see it. You will not regret it. Why are you still farking reading this?

Made me cry on more than one occasion.

I won't even bother saying that the modeling and rendering and cameras were very well done - it's Pixar, it's expected.

Already plan on going, if it opens here anytime soon.

There have been plenty of good reviews already. Some of the more credible or intelligent reviewers have picked up on the characters' emotional development and the movie's homage to early films, including Chaplin's silents and early talkies.

Is it really that good? The trailers were ok but it seems that everybody loved that movie. Hmm, I might watch it on the weekend.

Hi zsouthboy !

Could you be more explanative on what specific aspects you liked etc ? I'm likely not to go to the theatre for personal reasons, at least I would be preventively more critic than you are before choosing the one movie I could see... hem.

3d renders etc ? well we all know reality can be perfectly mimetised, no more wonders as far as I'm concerned with that... the plot maybe ? I have no clue 'bout this one to be honest...

CTZn:

They did a really good job (Pixar always does) at making you "feel" for Wall-E. His curiousity (and penchant for holding "hands") gets him into trouble, and you can't help but be empathetic. Poor little guy!

The story picks pieces from all sorts of Sci Fi - 2001: A Space Odyssey is also a big influence on the camera work.

The texturing! My god, the texturing. There are parts that look live action because of it.
