Officially retiring as developer

Post by Wedge » Wed Feb 20, 2008 1:07 pm

I am officialy retiring as developer. (been working for 14 months or so?) I have been struggling to find the time to continue developing in areas that I am involved in.

My work on Carmine is finished. I am proud of this program. I think it serves its purpose. I will be releasing one last version of the Hybrid exporter. This exporter has come a long way. Carried it through supporting Indigo 07, 08, 09, and v1. I am proud of its current state. I will attempt to merge some of the core of the Hybrid exporter into Blendigo and if SmartDen approves then that will be released as my last work.

It is time for me to close this chapter of my life and move onto something new.

Thanks to everyone for their support. Special thanks to Ono for allowing me to use Indigo.

Sincerely, :)

I never got carmine to work... he said it lacks software despite having the .net framework. I would really like to see this program of yours.

Anyhow, thanks for your work.

It's always a lack, and in this case a big lack.

Although i've never used Blender, i know in depth, being a developer, how hard is bringing to life a program and in our case an exporter.

Thanks for all your effort and good luck for any further challenge u're going to approach.

Riccardo.

Hi,

it's bad that you decided to leave. Maybe you can assist u3dreal with his Radblender exporter or zuegs with his modified LuxBlend exporter? :)
