Clothsimulation-Cinema4D
Hi
l My goal is the following picture: a fabric made into a chair that deforms thanks to a cube.
The mesh was made more dense but not what the problem clearly.
The fabric is too stiff and seems Rubber and fails to make the folds. The fabric should have the cotton specific but do not know where to put your hands! Can anyone help me?
Thank you!

Re: Clothsimulation-Cinema4D
Hm; did you scale the objects in realistic units?
It seems like all your dynamic values like mass etc. are scaled down by factor 10 or something like that.
Cheers, zeiti

I did not pay attention to the measurements of the chair consists of some cubes.
The chair seems that measures 3 x 2 x 2 M.
What should be the normal values of a fabric such as cotton?
Maxon could make available a menu with the most popular materials ready for use. It seems to me that in Blender can chose from four or five basic settings.

Strange; the scale should fit.

Hi
That is what I managed to do, hoping someone can do better, it would take more folds!

Hi
After seeing a shader velvet made for C4D, I tried to add an emission channel (Blackbody = 1935, gain = 35), you notice a slight improvement.
I considered it advantageous to use Phong material than the diffuse.
I think, however, a velvet shader done to perfection needs a new starting material in V-Ray / Arnold is obtained instantly without writing lines of code.
For the next experiments .......
Developers are listening?

It's already on the to-do list, no need to keep asking about it every day.
