Interesting question!

I'll break that into two sections.

1. At home I have my iMac at bar height (44") and I usually stand when I work on it. In daylight to the left I am looking out the window into the woods, some hickory, some big beech trees. Quite nice actually! To the right I am looking at the street that goes through my neighborhood and more woods across the street. NOt too shabby either. Above my head is what you can see in these images:

2. At work I sit in a very small cubicle. and what I see is the cubicles next to me when I sit and when I stand up I can see the whole large office space. I just started here and this is the least space I've had in any job. No daylight to be seen! Office buildings here in the south of the US seem to be mostly designed by total morons that have not gotten the hint that providing natural daylight is actually desirable in an office. Sometimes this leads to very nice all-glass front buildings with nicely designed outer shells that lack any architectural intelligence on the inside. For most of the last 10 years I have worked in offices (single offices and cubicles in large spaces) that lacked any natural daylight.

The trees or the cubicles ?

While I am sure the trees won't mind I am not sure that I am allowed to take photos at work. Some companies are rather sensitive about that sort of thing

The table is an experiment: exploded double glass pane!
Don't you have issues with little glass debris going off the pane?
I have seen this kind of table already, but it was done with a triple laminated pane, the middle one being fragmented, so that no glass debris can be made.

This is not exactly a view from my desk, but I work in the little red circle:

Dougal's is awesome! We rarely see snow, here in Padua!
..bad thing if you consider how rrrromantic is a christmas day with snow ..

Hakiru's picture seems almost like a render

Galinette! Now you MUST show us a reverse shot! I really want to see what your natural (..because it doesn't seem anything else) environment!
I actually thought that exploded glasses were only three-layered too, but my fiancée's uncle (who gave us the table as a present) actually works with glass panes and windows in general. He said "Why not?", and ten seconds later he was horribly approaching the double-layered plain glass with a hammer and a screwdriver. I didn't have the time to cover the glass with my own body: I had to suffer the moment. One single BAM and the glass was broken. With great surprise the two parts didn't break up: between them there's a very subtle and transparent glue sheet which prevent the two glasses from breaking apart. Consider that we are actually using the exploded glass as the upper side of the table, so the glass scales are very firm and united.

It's in Prague, Czech Republic. This old wall actually makes the part of border of the biggest public park in Prague — Stromovka.

But no, I am not living in the park, but on the other side
