Online Gallery hosing sites

Post by Headroom » Mon Dec 12, 2011 3:29 am

So Apple has done done away with the MobileMe gallery and replaced it with the Photo Stream feature, however that's not exactly what I am looking for.

I intend to create a little online gallery where I can host renderings and animation and perhaps more like a portfolio can leave comments on these.

Any suggestions ?

I am not overly smitten with the usual candidates Picasa, Flickr etc. Smugmug looks nice but I understand it's not free. The usual suspects for CG are a bit out of line as well as I want to do also include photos of real prototypes and things I design.

I am trying to stay away to build my own website. I am busy enough as is ;-)

Edit: I forgot the T in hosting. I really don't want to get hosed online

Dropbox has some gallery functionality too and you gain 2GB of webspace.
I host some videos for my portfolio on it too...

Register via this link http://db.tt/y1qdgsj and we both get some extra 250MB of space ;)

Via Plugin you organize your stuff on your local HDD and shared folders are great to manage data between people.

Hi Zom-B, this dropbox seems neat, I'll use your ref link to register as well if you don't mind :) Thanks for sharing!
