I'm just posting to let radiance know

Post by Frances » Sat Jan 13, 2007 7:53 am

That I'm a girl and I'm a member now.

I hope that in the time since that observation was posted that the situation has been remedied. Some here may know me from the fryrender and Maxwell forums. So you know I'm nothing but trouble. Just kidding. Sort of.

I came over looking for information on a possible Rhino plug-in on behalf of a fellow Rhino user, and was able to supply him with a link. So things look promising.

Keep up the good work on the renders and the program. :)

Just last night I ran into another chick in another forum that does some amazing 3d stuff as well and I was totally impressed, not only because of her skills but also because of how scarce it is to see a girl in a 3d forum. I even told my wife about her and we had a nice chat about it  Now you show up!!! great!!! 2 girls in 2 days!!! 2007 must be the year gals take over 3d!!!

welcome aboard Frances! :D

ps. You live in Virginnia Beach? That's where my brother is

Hi suvakas,

Thanks. :) Some of the renders are VIZ or Max radiosity, some are Vray, and one is Maxwell. For my last production, I used fryrender. I will probably keep that as my production renderer.

Yes, beautiful work on your website, and welcome to the forum.
I'm curious, what made you choose Fryrender over Maxwell?
Speed?
They're both very impressive renderers, maxwell seems to have the edge featurewise, while fry seems very fast (for an unbiased renderer of course :) ).

Thanks Nick. :)

Ah the question. I think fryrender edges Maxwell out in the features department where production workflow is concerned. I can render print res images without having to page to the hard drive (which is like death for render engines). That's really important to arch vizzers.

Hi radiance. :)

I use VIZ 2007. I do most of my modeling in Rhino.
