Sure, that's very doable However, it's pretty slow to have such objects in the scene, and they would have to be put into the scene as "proxies" - basically you have a box with a special name that Indigo replaces with the fractal at render time... not very preview-friendly since it's not integrated into the modeling package.

right, that makes sense. not having a preview is half the fun
as long as you could control the position and size with your proxy-box.
I, for one, would be really into that kind of feature. I know it's not the kind of thing that's needed for everyday scenes, but would be an great add-on for those of us interested in more abstract art-making.
