How about a color picker for light layers/w real time previewing?

I'm pretty sure I've seen this requested before, but here it is again just in-case..

Would it be possible to implement the 'Ward' shader type into Indigo? Perhaps it could be a material subtype under Phong?

+1
In addition, what about implementing the "Torrance-Sparrow model" for Phong/non-transparent specular?

ok, i recall Nick saying, that the phong material does not use the phong model, but the Blinn(? not 100% sure, ill ask him again) model.

I don't know about the ward model, but one thing I would really use would be a kind of "anisotropic exponent", meaning a reflection exponent depending on light vector direction. This is very useful to make brushed metal materials, as there is one exponent (large) for light reflected in the scratch-normal plane, and another value (small) for light reflected in the normal plane perpendicular to scratches. You can have this kind of effect by using bump scratches, but that's not as effective and very noisy to render.

..What?

Did you ask him if implementation of Ward was possible?

no

edit: ok, did. he has a full schedule. i also asked about torrance sparrow. he said its an "alright one" but still doesnt have the time to implement it :)

A long forgotten but relay useful feature would be a Histogram (RGB), to use white fine tuning White-point & Tonemapping.

Interesting idea. Although even though I have used image editing programs for years I personally have not figured out the histogram
It would help the more professional - photographer people for sure

It was a feature of Viloet long time ago :)

I have to admit that I use it mostly to check that my image spreads nicely over the whole 8bit color space without overburning or to dark areas. also a RGB histogram is great to tune whitepoint if it works with a selection tool :)

It is necessary to enter тег which would hide portals, it is in максвелле, Fray render.Это it is necessary at least to illuminate dark places where light badly gets, and not only. It would be desirable to have a complete control over illumination and its tunings of a scene. Perhaps, to apply light sources with soft shades. To have more advanced tunings on colour correction. To have filter Bloom, Glare.и others... Improved display IEC of files, work with IEC is more than 90 degrees. At INDIGO a problem with a corner on фонгу. It is necessary to dump it to 0, for prevention of occurrence of black stains
