it's reduction resolution to reduction the noise

Post by filippo » Mon Nov 20, 2006 9:49 am

it's reduction resolution to reduction the noise it's to use in maxwell render, I renemed it for indigo..the new name is "fili-reduction" :!:
the first image have 5/6 minutes of render time at 640x480.....
the second image have 5/6 minutes of render time at 6000x6000..
the third image it is as the second , but I have reduced the dimension to 500x500, you can see the advantages, to parity of time the image improves!!!to notice the panel

That's about RGC again !

The reduced image are darker because it must be converted to linear space before reduction.

So one has to apply rgc twice actually with Indigo images in order to reduce them ? Like:

- 1st reverse gamma correction > right colour space for Indigo images
- reverse gamma correction again > to put them in linear colour space for reduction
- reduce image
- gamma correct, from 1 to 2.2

My attempt at RGC
More about ISMA lol what's that ?
