[Bug] Locale problem with GUI

Post by Josh » Tue Aug 11, 2009 2:24 am

I use the German version of Ubuntu 9.04. In Germany, the decimal separator is a comma, and Ubuntu (or Qt) will thus display a comma in all float number inputs of Indigo's GUI (tonemapping, white balance etc.).
When I try to change any of those numbers or something that makes Indigo read them, I get this message:

Code: Select all

Error: TinyXmlWrapper: Parse error while parsing float from '0,35000'
(0,35 is the whitepoint x parameter in this case), and the change is not applied.

So I can't change anything in Indigo, what is very annoying.

Edit: Indigo version is 2.0.12 Linux 32-bit

Hi Josh,
I just tried this with v2.0.12, 32 bit Linux version, with setting the locale to germany, and it works fine.
Are you sure you're not running into this problem with an older version of Indigo?

Sorry that I wasn't able to reply earlier. No, it's Indigo 2.0.12. Ono, did you test on KDE or Gnome? As far as I know, Indigo uses Qt, whereas Gnome is GTK+ based. Maybe it's an effect of the wrapper (I use Gnome)?

Here are some screenshots to prove (but you don't need a proof, do yo? )
