Sudden filling of memory in 4.2.xx versions in OpenCL

Post by Paraket » Fri Apr 12, 2019 2:08 am

Hello!

I work with a large scenes in architecture involving many plants, people, cars and buildings. Plants and cars are inserted into 3ds max as Indigo mesh. Plants are scattered with Forest pack 6.
When the memory is about 7GB, I turn on the visibility of the next car (car takes from 170 to 250mb when I'm render it separately) and the memory jumps to 11.578GB.

Black screen and
Exception while advancing OpenCL PT on device 'GeForce GTX 1080 Ti': clEnqueueNDRangeKernel failed for kernel 'll111l1ll111l111ll1lllll1l1ll11l1': CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE

This memory error is observed in versions from 4.2.14 and higher.
In versions prior to 4.0.65, this error does not exist. In this scene allows you to turn on another 8-9 cars and everything works.

I wrote in inifile
<allow_high_quality_bvh> false </ allow_high_quality_bvh>
it did not help.

Configuration:
3DS MAX 2016
WINDOWS 7
GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
32GB RAM

Thank you in advance for your help.
