From what i gathered, other engines (Corona, Arnold, VRay...) don't exhibit such an issue.

great to hear that this issue somehow got fixed....
Anyway, I recommend to do some driver cleaning using DDU and then install the drivers again:

By this I got rid of 99% of my GPU related issues
