Once again..How to solve this ?

Post by Lal-O » Fri Dec 18, 2015 12:09 pm

Hi Guys
I want to create a simple .pigs from a sketchup model for render it in another pc, ok? The export is fine and the render i also great...But..when i try to create the .pigs file i get this error. (Image below ).
The funny thing is that this file its been .piged some times before without any problems and now just don't work.( Nothing had been changed , only geometry ).
The file is perfect if you render it in the pc where the file was created but it gives errors if try to .pigs it...¬¬ .
I mention something similar some time ago but nobody cared.

Looks like a permission issue when creating the pigs (if I translated the spanish part correctly). I'm not a windows user, but have you made sure you have write permissions to the folder you're exporting the .pigs to? Have you tried different folders?

Hi Oscar J.
Yup..I've tried diferent folders, paths and so on and the result is the same ....the funny part is that this ( and other files ) works fine , but suddenly they start to " Refuse " to become a .pigs ..I just don't get it.

Are you using the computer as an admin?

Yes , i am :) . Is that a problem??...Because other indigo files works(other don't) perfectly keeping the pc just as it is right now.

The problem in this case is I think trying to save to a PIGS (packed Indigo scene) when there are missing textures.
This has been improved in Indigo 4 to allow saving to PIGS in this case.

yup, I was thinking that perhaps the IGS file, possibly using relative paths for textures, was moved to another folder before the packing attempt. That wouldn't work as Ono explained.
