Frontal mapping?

Post by Nikolaj Knudsen » Fri Sep 19, 2014 2:01 am

There are properly a number of good reasons why this don't work in Indigo, but could it be possible some how to have frontal mapping like in C4D. It would make composing a lot easier In animations an stills. It could work as a back plate as well.
Alpha mode and shadow caster are fine but one have to do a lot of post processing specially with animations.

Hey Nik,

All C4D mappings get converted into UVW mapping on export and should look correct in Indigo (as long as you don't more the camera!)

If you have some issues with this automated UVW generation, then select your frontal mapped material and go to "Plugins > Indigo for C4D > Create UVW Tag" This should help.

I'll give it a try... thanks Zom-B

Wold be nice tho to have animated texture as well, specially with C4D's new camera mapping feature.
