Spherical EXR

Post by cotty » Fri Apr 12, 2013 10:46 pm

I've rendered a spherical EXR. In Indogo 3.6.9, it looks good (top image) and after export as EXR, there is something wrong (bottom image) (viewed in Luminance or used as environment in Indigo). Any ideas?

Saving of EXRs was broken. Will be fixed in 3.6.11.

While you're at it... add OpenEXR 2.0 support.

Just saw they released a new version :)
I don't see anything too pressing that Indigo needs though.

Well, the EXRs Indigos does save are about twice as huge as saved from Photoshop or C4D, that kind of sucks if saving EXRs for animations, also layered EXRs could be nice to save LightLayers on them ...

That's nothing to do with EXR 2.0.

I wasn't referring to v2.0, but EXR "features" in general.
Quoting half of your comment was maybe not the best decision, and caused confusion...

Indigo saves 32 bit EXRs, not 16 bit EXRs. Maybe that accounts for the size difference.

So do PS and C4D...
I retest once I get some freetime, also using the GIMP :)
