Hello,
Firstly, awesome you added the section planes feature, it makes life so much easier, thank you.
Firstly (and this may be more of a Skindigo request),
If a section plane is active in the modelling program, I think it should be enabled in indigo, what you see should be what you get.
Currently you must enable the section cut for indigo rendering, it'd be sweet if it was automatic
Secondly (and this is a more general archvis problem/question/request),
It would be nice to have an option to enable "realistic shadows" while rendering a section.
For example,
Sketchup:
Indigo:
Section in Sketchup:
is this in Indigo:
But it'd be great if there was an option to enable Indigo to render this (quick photoshop example):
Technically, I understand this may go against the whole process of Indigo (rendering invisible geometry?)
Conventionally, I understand that having shadows behave as if the geometry isn't actually there may help to actually read the image, but in terms of conveying accurate spatial (light) qualities, it's a lie.
So it would great to have this option.
What are your thoughts?
Cheers

That is already a option and available since Indigo 3.4.9:

Also its availible in Skindigo 3.4.12:
#Added: option to cull geometry behind section planes (in advanced render settings)
Have fun with the new feature

Doh! Awesome!
Re: Section Planes and "realistic" shadows
I agree, this would be better, but the SketchUp API does not have any methods to tell us if a section plane is currently active in the scene. So, unfortunately, this is imposible.fractal.design wrote:Firstly (and this may be more of a Skindigo request),
