please remove dof blur, so scene renders faster!
(Preview scene should be optimized regarding render speed too!)

Re: Material preview scene suggestion
The current scene has pretty minimal dof blur.
Re: Material preview scene suggestion
Still wasted extra sampling, isn't it?
Imagine that scene integrated as material preview scene in a 3D app (like cindigo).
Every extra second to wait until some spp are reached is slowing down the workflow...

This depends a lot on the scene!OnoSendai wrote:Yeah. Looks kinda bad (reddish) on my monitor, but I guess that's just the monitor's fault.galinette wrote: Yes! Pure grays validated by photoshop...
By the way, do you know what the albedo is for e.g. white card that might be used for a studio setup like this? I think it may be more than 0.5.
You can use greys : http://www.digixo.com/studio-photo/ecla ... nt115.html
Or white : http://www.ibashop.fr/615-2209-thickbox ... oftbox.jpg
Or black : http://images.pricerunner.com/product/2 ... airage.jpg

Well, do you want it, use it and abuse it?OnoSendai wrote:dag: Your preview scene looks really good, nice one.
Does that mean blackbody 6500K? If that's the case I get the magenta white balance bug when using that. How did you get the gray?OnoSendai wrote:* Two emitters are now using D65 spectrum
Re: Material preview scene suggestion
Nope, D65 and 6500K are close, bud different. You need to use tabulated spectral values as in my previous postdag wrote:Well, do you want it, use it and abuse it?OnoSendai wrote:dag: Your preview scene looks really good, nice one.
