Here are two shots of a little cabin that I did for work! Lemme know what you think. Meant to be a northern/Canadian setting, somewhere close to a lake maybe, in a wide field with a stand of pines. Woohoo!

Comments/crits most welcome...

I love the last one most. Very good feeling and atmosphere.
Feels like a perfect summer day here in Estonia. Very realistic.

Ps. 1st image has too much saturation on my monitor here at work.

I agree with the others: the last one is the best!

Like suvakas I'm finding that the "new wood" texture saturation detracts a bit from realism... the sunset looks allright though.

Great third I agree !

hi Tom, looks like you're getting a bit of noise in the first images from your leaves. make sure step_blend=true for the leaf blend material.

Thanks :)

Instead of starting another thread, here are a couple renderings of a few more cabins that I had to do. Trying to play with the moods and tones of each to differentiate them better.

Well done StompinTom !

What's your take on hybrid mode ? I never use it...

Very nice ones! The first seems to be a little too noisy, still, but the second is really cool. Nice atmosphere: just like being in the middle of a forest, pure tranquility! Your clients will be pleased.
Were they both rendered with sun/sky anvironment?
