One A Day Keeps The Doctor Away.
Hi all,
A render of a tasty model posted at Sketchucation.
I took the model and fooled around with it, rearranging the parts and placing them on a curved ground surface.
Material setup isn't fancy. I started from the Skindigo presets and moved some numbers, so it could be done a bit more 'in depth'.
For me, it was a good opportunity to try some studio light.
Lighting consists of two vertical emitting surfaces left and right and a LDR for reflections. Layer blending is a nice feature to control the levels.
Rendered using Skindigo (Indigo 1.1.15 x64).
.
cheers,
Kwistenbiebel

Although the blade is not that sharp, I bet if you keep it close enough to the doctor you will keep him away...
Cool pics!

I like the surrealism. What tonemapping function did you use?

I think we're seeing the wrong side of the blade.pixie wrote:Although the blade is not that sharp, I bet if you keep it close enough to the doctor you will keep him away...

Thanks guys
And then there are the phone calls...aargh, those phone calls.
I usually use the Camera tonemapping, but when having multiple light sources, it is sometimes a bit more difficult to control the intensities of the lights.
Yeah, first I used the spoons , but he was countering my moves all too easily. Gosh, are those doctors persistent.pixie wrote:Although the blade is not that sharp, I bet if you keep it close enough to the doctor you will keep him away...

I used the default Reinhard tonemapping of Skindigo and increased the 'burn' a little (by lowering from 6 to 3) and fiddled a bit with the 'Pre-scale' value, although I don't remember the exact value.benn wrote:I like the surrealism. What tonemapping function did you use?

Q: "how do you like them apples?"
A: "with more polygons, please"
otherwise totally awesome!

Yes I thought it looked reinhard. Apart from that it looks great!
Maybe we should add a camera response function to reinhard, just a default awesome one so it doesnt look quite so plain.

Nice pictures kwistenbiebel! You can always use Motiva RealCamera to have Camera tone mapping.

I checked on different monitors, and it looked ok to me.
