Scale Model: layer blending
Hi all,
A scale model setup using the layer blending (multilight) option of Indigo 1.1.15.
I hope you like it:

Re: Scale Model: layer blending
Please do a large render for the gallery...
architects should see what is possible.
Amazing!

Re: Scale Model: layer blending
Thank you guys
I must say that the multilight option in (Sk)Indigo is a wonderful thing.
Here are two other shots. A slightly different architectural approach.

I like better this solution Kwisten, indeed.
Not graphically: architecturally!
How did you do the grey gradient in the background? I suppose you don't use sun/sky here, just emitters, isn't it?

Re: Scale Model: layer blending
Thank you Pibuz ,
I am using 2 big emitters in combo with a LDR environment image as fill light.
The two emitters are vertical planes left and right of the subject, one with a cool temperature and one with a warmer temperature.
Inside the scale model I put an array of emitting horizontal surfaces.
So I ended up with 4 light layers to play with....
The gradient is automatically obtained because of the groundplane curving up in the background.
ps: I like your latest work, especially the interior dining scene and the lego scene are quite amazing.

Re: Scale Model: layer blending
There's always something to learn fron good ol' Kwisten
LDR environment...When you have a little spare time I'd very like to see an axonometric view of the scene.
*OFFTOPIC*
BTW, it is nice to hear of you! It's been a very long time, really. Everything's good?

Re: Scale Model: layer blending
No problemo....
Here's the setup: nothing fancy
...And here's another view (still rendering):
Also a little question: How do I get rid of the vignetting? There seems to be no option to turn it off (Indigo 1.1.15).
[Off Topic: I'm fine thanks. Especially because of Aussie weather getting better now. Spring is in!]
Cheers!

Re: Scale Model: layer blending
hey biebel,
What happened to your scale model layer blending thread on SCF? I can't find it anymore.

Re: Scale Model: layer blending
The control of the vignetting during the rendering is one of the things I requested. I hope they will introduce a parameter or something soon, sometimes, vignette is annoying. There's no way to fix it inside Indigo, you have to apply a PS filter under filters->distortion->lens correction (CS4). There's a tool to modify the vignetting..
