Olmeca

Post by Rafaello » Mon Sep 21, 2009 2:38 am

Hi everyone, this is a render of an Olmec head and wnat to thank Gary Ritchie for let me use his head model ( http://garyritchie.com/txp/ ).
The Olmec were an ancient pre-columbian civilization living in the tropical lowlands of south-central Mexico and the most recognized aspect of the Olmec civilization art are the enormous helmeted heads like this one.
If one of you can tell me how to make tha banana tree leafs translucent would be great.

Great render Rafaello!
For the leaf material, try blending a phong with a diffuse transmitter, like with this material:

Model all the trees and use the better leaf material!
