Hi Indigo bunch,

A paper clip animation.

Some stats:
- render time over all: 7 hours
- 180 frames @10 fps.
- each frame rendered 2.3 minutes
- system: Mac Pro 8 core running Vista 64
- version: (Sk)Indigo 1.0.9
- lighting: HDR

The last part of the animation contains two panning stills which were rendered using Fry render (sorry for that ;) ).

The link to the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk7jnxlsRuE&fmt=18

I hope you like it.

Regards,

Kwistenbiebel

PS: Could we have embedded Flash support (video hosts) on the Indigo forum, ppppplease?

It's nice, but the camera movement is a bit abrupt, as in your previous animation. Is there no way in SU to smooth the camera's IPO curve or draw less angular paths?

Thanks for your comments.
Camera control is a difficult thing for animation in sketchup.

There is a plugin around where you can set up a bezier curve that defines the camera path (Flightpath.rb) but it is not intuitive to use.

Thank you :)

You are right about the timing of the anim and the music.
I didn't have the right inspiration on music at the moment I composited the video. I'll spend more time on that in a next animation.
Good observation , thanks.
