To charge my batteries ...

Post by enricocerica » Tue Mar 25, 2008 8:01 pm

Hi,

Nothing special to say for this one, I wanted to make something else then my last boring in and out scenes.

Once again it is a texturing challenge and I spent some time on the UV mapping and on Gimp to create or adapt textures.

For the first image, I don't know if I should go for the landscape version or the portrait croped one. Which one do you prefer ?

All the modelling was made with Blender

The rendering was made with Indigo 1.08

The lighting is an HDRI map

Some postpro with Gimp.

Holy sh*t
O_O

Anyway, proper comments:
Great texturing and modelling on this one.
Fantastic little details like the battery meter on the chest.
The robot is so cute, and makes me soooo sad :)

This is just awesome.

One of the best renderings I have ever seen, really.
Jaw dropped !
Not one thing gives it away as not being a photo.

Congratulations, you can retire now :)

Yes, this is an excellent work!
But the thing I like most is the mood of the image, really touching!

The first oeuvre of the "poetic rendering" style.

best compliements

Fantastic stuff, as always. The third from the top is my favourite. The attention to detail in the texturing is stunning.
(Were you inspired by the work of Pawel Hynek?)

WOW,
very very nice.
I like the different angles / shots too, shows all the details !

in answer to your question, for the 1st image,
I prefer the landscape one.
