Somehow forgot to reply to this.

I mainly raised the midrange of the render with a curve because I thought the render was a little dark and gloomy for a sun picture. I tried to keep some detail in the highlights and retain most of the shadows. Then I applied one of the default Nix Analogue Efex Pro presets, but without the noise. I also lifted the shadows from perfect black values using another colour curve, as this can give a nice atmosphere to the image.

This was more or less it I think. Try to improvise :)

One test scene for GPU as well as some of the materials/maps. In my opinion, these are the best renders I'v produced so far, in technical aspects of course. Hope you like what you see! Cheers!

Really great materials! :O And the glare from that desk lamp is awesome. I just think that the renders are a bit dark overall, it's hard to see all the nice details. Maybe something you could try to adjust in post? :)

Thanks Oscar, I was opting for the dark atmosphere though. But I don't wanna do post production, I hate it so much! sniff sniff :(

Thanks kscore, ye I like the glass as well but I think the result is due to great detail of the model itself, somebody really put a lot of effort to make it like that. :D

Final exterior renders for the house in San Anselmo, it is same house for which I created that master bedroom which was one of initial posted renders. Looking forward hearing some comments, mainly on design but on quality of renders as well. :)

I am also attaching render of existing house (with added garage and entrance since it was addition that never was executed but was planned), you can clearly see huge difference in architectural style. As for the terrain, it was probably the biggest challenge in whole project since it was needed to be perfectly replicated.

Those pool shots are really nice. Vegetation needs work - doesn't quite seem to match.

I agree on that Oscar J, any tips for SketchUp user how to improve them? I use simple thin material or transparent phong material. This is mainly because for most SketchUp vegetation I do not have any maps such as bump, reflective etc. :(

I don't think it's as much about the material type or maps, as it is about making sure the textures match in tone and saturation. :)
