Re: Pavoda Rendering Thread
I forgot to mention: it's a limitation when using OpenCL on NVIDIA cards. I'm not sure it will ever be improved upon, maybe with future versions of OpenCL?

Awesome!!
And crazy that this kind of "simulation" is possible with a fairly normal computer nowadays...

Amazing!

Hi Pavoda!pavoda wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 10:16 pmHi noelyone,
it's mainly about the camera tonemapping. I use agfapan-apx 400-sCD and other color tuning I do postproduction in the Lightroom. But there is one secret tip to speed up rendering and make the interior brighter. In front of the windows glass is put area light. It must be invisible, with this light you can correct the overall luminosity of the interior.
Just set this light as light layer and you can easy mix HDR light and this window lights to achieve best result.
I use HDR as environment with gamma 1-1.3. You can also try increase the gpu max ray depth to >15. The corners will be lighter and transparent material more natural.
I hope this helps you and I will be glad if you show us your next renders![]()
Can you tell me exactly how to make the area lights invisible and indigo will see this invisible light?, as I made many trials without success ... Your renders looks great
Re: Pavoda Rendering Thread
Hi, first- you need indigo full no RT version, second - make plane with luminance material into the window, third - make it invisible to camera. It is composition tag...Not sure how to make in Sketchup. Try it. Let me know if you if you did it.
Re: Pavoda Rendering Thread
I have Full not RT, I tried your method, I put rectangles in front of every window then I applied Luminance material from the material presets and put this in a unique layer so I can control it separately, after making these rectangles invisible to the camera they showed the environment outside perfectly, but they block the lighting that comes from the HDR and Sun.
Re: Pavoda Rendering Thread
use material type "null material" it is transparent.
Re: Pavoda Rendering Thread
Thanks a lot for helping me on this, I think I master it now

Re: Pavoda Rendering Thread
I m putting lights indoor close to glass. But you can try this...I think effiency is bit lower
Re: Pavoda Rendering Thread
Thanks for the info, I started to put the invisible lights indoors but I faced one problem when I wanted to make something invisible to the camera, the first time only it worked, but if I wanted to hide any other object it doesn't work, I tried with many files, only it's working for the first object, Is there something I made wrong, is there any tip so the invisible to the camera is working with all objects in the same scene?
Re: Pavoda Rendering Thread
I have no problem with this.Work correctly for me...It is look like some problem with your exporter (sketchup?) Try do this in indigo...pick object in indigo standalone and select invisible to camera, try hide more objects. Is it work?
Re: Pavoda Rendering Thread
Thanks for your reply, I can't hide or render inside SketchUp as there is no rendering implemented inside it, interactive rendering is implemented in C4D I think, all my trials were inside standalone indigo, I tried with different files with no luck .. it's very critical to the workflow, how I can solve this, do you have any idea?
