Re: Lotus Elise
Whoa, impressive stuff!!
The paint material is too reflective (if you used a phong material, that's the ior, what did you set?). This causes a strong color shift on the sky reflections towards blue which mixes as purple with the red and looks unrealistic.
On a less important level, the ground material would benefit from displacement, bump and specular maps, as well as with a more high resolution diffuse texture.

Re: Lotus Elise
Nice ones! The modelled environment needs some work still (mainly colours I think), and there's something weird going on with the tyres, they seem to be lit from below.

Re: Lotus Elise
Galinette, Oscar,
Really appreciate your feedback! New versions posted below.
I modeled the car in Sketchup.
Yes, the IOR on the car paint was way too high, at 1.6. In the new posts, I've bumped it down to 1.3. (What value would you suggest? I think that 1.6 was the default for this material, the "Caramel Red" paint from the posted materials here.)
Yes, the road material was poorly chosen. Cobblestone is unrealistic for this sort of scene. I've changed it to asphalt (but I had to do blurring to reduce patterning off in the distance).
The color in the environment was fall foliage. I've removed those trees.
I'm not sure why tires appeared to be lit from below! The model had components inside of components inside of components. Can't see why this would confuse Indigo. Could Indigo think part of the scene is facing up instead of down!? In any event, I exploded the nested component, and this artifact went away.
I create this car as a prop for architectural scenes that I'm working on. I'll post those shortly. If you have a movement to look at them, I would appreciate your feedback there too.

Re: Lotus Elise
The car looks really good overall, and that paint does look better. The IOR to use depends a bit on the environment in my experience.
Regarding asphalt I uploaded a few high res materials recently:

https://www.indigorenderer.com/materials/materials/1559 (slightly less tile-able)

Looking forward to seeing your arch viz stuff.
