Hi Guys .....This is my latest project . Hope you like it.
Interior took about 8.5 hrs
Exterior 3 hrs.
Are these normal rendering times for such scenes ? ( All is geometry ). Theres is no full white colours , i used Arch Glass...Don't know...For sure i am doing something wrong...
Bidirect+MLT
Foreground alpha on
Nvidia Titan X
Intel I7 5960X 3.5 Ghz
I guess only render with CPU ( OpenCL was uncheck . In device selection only was listed and checked on the videocard ) ...not sure what i did
Regards

Re: Modern jungle House
Looks Good! But the render times are too high imho.

Re: Modern jungle House
It's a little long, especially for the interior, but nothing too offensive. I think you could have gotten away with not using MLT for these. That would probably have improved the render times significantly. Try BiDir or even normal PT and use some clamping if you're getting fireflies.
Great pics!

Hence my optimisation suggestions.

I did use clamping
Somewhere here in the forum i read the most efective rendering mode was Bidiretional+MLT...That is why i always use it for all my scenes ( interior exterior) I know the other modes are good too, but it is kinda hard to know wich one is the right to choose, i mean ...is there a guide or something that helps to understand when to use everyone of the different rendering modes ?

Re: Modern jungle House
Well, MLT is the most robust rendering mode, but certainly not the most effective. I would really only use MLT when you have really complex lighting simulation - pools with caustics, prisms, etc. BiDir PT or brute force GPU PT is your best bet for everything else IMO.

Thank You Oscar. I'll keep it in mind for my next projects . Dam...if i only knew this 1 month ago.....Oscar J wrote:Well, MLT is the most robust rendering mode, but certainly not the most effective.
