Some new work
Re: Some new work
I like the lighting, although I find the general composition a little too..empty..
Wonderful lights and really interesting material on the vase on the left, how's that made?

totally agree, but I just work here!Pibuz wrote:I find the general composition a little too..empty..
It's a blend between a shiny metal and a dull. The blend map is soft (no sharp transitions between black & white) and the shiny metal has a much sharper fresnel map applied.Pibuz wrote:really interesting material on the vase on the left, how's that made
Re: Some new work
I uploaded it to the data base.

Thanks!DJ AntOn wrote:very nice
Not a good example I'm afraid... I left this for a whole weekend because I was away... It rendered for far longer than it needed to... I could probably get this overnight on a poor i5 with 8gb Ram.DJ AntOn wrote:how long renderer?
This is Bertrand Benoit's patch (which has probably been used a million times!) http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/fre ... del/587690bubs wrote:how to make a rug? https://yadi.sk/i/cJVZe_s_Y3tvR I want the same
I made a dummy component in SketchUp and used the 'Make Crowd' pugin to scatter it.

Wow , these are all great renders, By the way I love the foliages... are they real 3D models or done in Photoshop?
If real models, any link please?

All the foliage is 3D only colour correction etc in Photoshop. Most of it is from one of these sites;
http://www.archive3d.net - all free
http://www.xfrog.com - lots of free stuff on their samples page
http://www.3dwarehouse.sketchup.com - you have to really hunt to find anything of much quality, but there is some useable stuff there if you look!
