That is really cool David. The leaves are a bit distracting though... maybe desaturate them a bit?

Moin Zeiti

Gefällt mir sehr gut, einzigster Kritikpunkt sind die Eichenblätter im Vordergrund.

Strohballen sind perfekt.

Thank you very much!
Meanwhile, the foreground twigs are bugging me, too... a lot.
I'm gonna make an update without these.. they really suck, you're absolutely right.

I have to agree.. seems like an odd place for a tree to be anyways. I look forward to seeing the new version!

Yes Zeitmaster, very very nice!!
I liked the attempt to introduce a sort of a out-of-focus foreground to the scene, although it was clearly too big..Maybe introducing a smaller detail....

Have you thought anything about the distant background? I don't know, some yellow trees, a barn...

I really like your saturated skies, btw! Are they the real lightsource (EXR map) or just a postpro-added background?

Thank you very much!
Placing something in the foreground was the intention, but I think that vegetation is the wrong idea here.
Maybe something related to hay or agriculture in general... but at the moment I've got no idea.
I rendered a simple backplate into the image, but masked it out again in PS to have more control over colour and tonemapping.
Lighting is simple sunksy.

Indeed, I have some kind of background landscape, but I am not very happy with it... the perspective is very low, either.

Currently I am reworking the foil to a real double-sided SSS material; maybe I will change the background to the one with a little more landcape.

Thanky again for your tips and critics!

A pitchfork stuck into the ground! :) Or a tractor/harvester wheel (may be too much though).

But nice ideas!
Maybe I can combine it with elements from my old country road setting...
new scene for that. :-)

I'll rework the foil an the general quality, and then it has to be enough for a formaly short test. :-)

Thank you again!
