This is a a project that is quite old, but this summer I had some spare time to finish the modeling, and to light it properly. The carpaint I got from from the material lib (BbB).
There are still things that I could have fixed, worked on, and so on, but I needed to draw the line..

Looks great!!!, can you tell us about the settings? (like lighting, time of rendering, environment...)

The light setup is simple enough. Several meshes lighting up the model, on the inside of a "bowl". I never checked the render times, but i think it's around 10 hours on my Q6600 using bidirectional. It was the car material that really saved the day. I've been struggling to find a good material for ages, and then tested out some of the carpaints in the matreial lib here.. BbB carpaint worked great! After all, I prefer to model, not tweak materials

Thanks ikodn, I thought that there was an environment map involved.
