Indigo only working as demo offline.

Firstly, can I say I've seen another thread similar, but not quite the same. I'm using Indigo RT with Max, and it works fine whilst I'm online, but offline I get watermarks all over render. Or I get the message 'ERROR: License Error: GetAdaptorsInfo Failed (after 20 attempts): The pipe is being closed. (code 232)'. I should point out that I connect to the internet using a mobile phone tethered via USB. Could this be the problem? I've tried reinstalling but to no avail. I don't know if there is a workaround, but I cannot be online constantly. I think the watermark issue occurs when I enable IPv4 for other machines on the network. I usually leave it disabled as Windows seems to ignore my internet connection if I leave it on. The ERROR happens when the phone is disconnected - either via software or physically unplugged.
