sun and backround

Post by horpa » Thu Sep 25, 2014 12:45 am

Hi,
why sun does not shine when I put it into the scene /attachment/. It is possible that the sun was shining and it I also used image in the background?

It should work!

Doublecheck that your sun is actually in "day time",
also change away from Reinhard to linear or camera tonemapping.

fastest way is simply to upload your scene here and let me check it :)

Maybe your envmap/background is much too bright compared to the sun, try decreasing the envmap multiplier

You set your EnvMap Emitter to BlackBody.
BB is soooooo bright that brighter could not go ^^
Therefor your sun was "tonemapped down" and not visible anymore...

Try this settings for your EnvMap, Emission Scale turned off since it doesn't work for EnvMaps:
