render with black environment

Post by powerdesign@skynet.be » Wed Sep 05, 2012 6:41 am

I got a scene where light-emitting objects are included. The environment is set to "skechtup background color" + "black"
When rendering objects as such, they emit light. When I put the object behind glass, the scene stays completly black.
Tried to invert faces, but no succes. What can I do?

Could it be that your problem is due to you applying a regular glass mat, rather than Thin Glass, to an infinitely thin object?

As Stinkie and Voytech are suggesting, real glass materials are to be applied to realistic glass panes, wich are thin boxes (4 to 6mm).

Glass Acceleration is recommended for your scene !
