Sketchup: Do imported image files render?

Hope you guys can help me with this. I have a surface in Sketchup. I click Import, choose a PNG image, and click "use as image". It looks great in the Sketchup viewport, but when I click render, the image is missing. Then again, it only has been an hour of rendering. Is it one of those post-render steps, or does it not render at all? Thanks!

Before jumping right from installation to rendering I'd strongly suggest you go through some of the tutorials provided on the Indigo website.

You'll save yourself many headaches and a lot of time and frustration. If you go through the forums Sketchup section you'll also find one or more video tutorial(s). That should help you to get started quickly.

I did go through the tutorials. Textures are covered, but there is nothing about importing image files. I've also checked the Sketchup subforum.

Try using it as texture instead of an image, I think that should help...

Image components support was added in SkIndigo 3.2.0.

Why don't you try it to check in the Materials. Or import a .JPG format instead of .PNG.
