indigo renderer crashes on open

hi guys,

so i'm super new at this (first post to any forum ever haha), but i'll try to describe my problem; any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated!

running:
mac os x 10.5.8
2.8 GHz ntel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS

my goal is to use the skindigo exporter with sketchup to render my models. my problem is that when indigo renderer is launched (both through indirectly from skindigo AND directly from the applications folder) i get this message:

"The application Indigo Renderer quit unexpectedly after it was launched. The problem may have been caused by the QtGui plug-in." (screenshot attached)

this happens when i install and run these indigo versions:

Indigo Renderer 3.0.14 for Mac OS X (no GPU)
Indigo 2.4.13 for Mac OS X

anyone have any idea why this is happening?
