Trying mesh sculpting again

Post by suvakas » Tue Mar 02, 2010 7:57 pm

Hey,
I'm trying to familiarize myself with Mudbox again. And with organic modeling in general.
This is my 2nd mesh sculpt ever. :) (1st one is also somewhere in this forum).
No refs used (which is bad, of course). Just opened Mudbox and started pushing and pulling polys. Hat is made in Max, rendered with Indigo.

Very decent for a second sculpt suv, the proportions seems ok for a cartoonish character with an head cold ;)

There is an AO texture isn't it ? The contrasts seems forced...
obsolete asset

Thanks.
Yes, there's a baked AO texture. I kind of liked how it looks.

Yeah great modeling. It reminds me of Borderlands. Any inspiration from it ?

Nope, never played it. I've only seen the trailer. Is the game good ?
Those heads are kind of random "accidents". I get inspiration in the middle of a sculpting process. It's a lot of fun.

Yeah, the game is very fun. A Mad Max style FPS with a Diablo-like gameplay, lot of loots, stats, levels, weapons, etc. Fun.
End of off-topic
Anyway, there's a lot of bad guys punks with spikes everywhere who look like your character.
