My next project of a room, I swear I'll finish this time :p
Its is basically going to be a room that was just moved into, so it will be filled with boxes, etc... I may fill it fully once I get that done.

Damn, I hope Nick gets SSS done quickly, so we see some organic stuff around here, I'm a little sick of all the rooms recently.
(no offense, I appreciate the effort anytime of course
).

Yeah...well.. :p
I wanted to model a room that I've never seen before... Just to see what I could come up with.
Yeah, rooms are getting a bit stale, tho :p
BTW: I think the curtains are going to to have to go, becuase of the no SSS. It makes them too dark, and less "curtain like"

Can anyone think of a reason for the black crap on the couch?
Ive re-calced my normals...its still there...

May be an energy loss problem with the phong model. Try using a diffuse material to see if the phong is causing the problem, and if so, increase the exponent on the phong material.

Hmm, this doesn't appear to be the problem, but Ill let another render run 'till I wake up.

Hmm, no, didn't work.
Exponent of 1000000

Wow, that's a crazy bug.
Looks like a normal problem of some kind
Can you show a render with a diffuse mat?

Same thing with diffuse.
Even werider, it doesn't happen in blender internal :\

Isn't that a normals problem ?

by BZ Win
NO, Ive tried re-calcing them about 20 times.

@BZ Win
I do get errors like this in 3dsmax if I do not reset all transformations,
especially if I scaled vertices. Dunno if you can reset transformations in
blender ... but I guess so. It took me awhile to find this out and my hair
is gone ... *LOL* for example the "black polys" on the blade of my older
WIP are not normal errors but errors of not reseting transformations ... doh!
take care

I also have no idea if this can be done in blender :p
