Hey guys,
I haven't posted anything in awhile (I haven't worked on anything for awhile :P ) so I thought I would start something again. I started another car, a Ferrari 360 Modena and I also am working on a house, but I'll post that one later.

Here's what I have so far...

I'm not very happy with the mesh right now. Here it is for anyone who wants to take a look...

And a picture of the real car for reference...

Me too :D either that or a 288 GTO or a... (I'd take any Ferrari :) )

A little update, mostly just topology. I also made the hood. Didn't bother to do a render.

I'm still not 100% happy with it. It's better but the same areas are still giving me problems. I think I might have to remove some loops, but I'm not sure?

Hi doublez !

I reviewed some bits, consider they are tracks to evaluate as I never modeled a car :)

merge
delete
split

Not sure you should follow them all though ...

Thanks ctzn. I got rid of those extra verts like you showed in the bottom left. I tried the suggestion for the other areas and they worked, but it didn't look much different and they created new problems in the same area. I'm just going to move on and maybe come back to it later.

Here's a small update. I just started the surrounding panels. Not much (just the easy parts :D )

Hey, thanks for trying doublez. Yes, for instance the modifications marked "tension?" are certainly meant to propagate upside, but I wasn't aware that the metal piece was finishing here, it was more to allow a better continuity if the surface itself had to be expanded. I took that as a rather theorical exercise myself, no worries ;)

I think it's looking very good !
