Be sure to also post your other renders here!
That's a very cool scene with fresh colors, and I like the bubbles, too!
What are your new specs? How much FASTER is your new machine? I'm still stuck with my old 2-core intel (and another one as slave) and have the impression an 4-core i7 is like 10x faster... can't wait to get a new machine some time this year

hah !!

I had a Core 2 Duo T7700 @2.4 ghz and 2 Gb ram before
I have a I7-870 @2.93ghz and 4 Gb ram now

the difference of speed is like 10 to 12x faster !!

thanks for the comments. Actually, the bubbles are lamps in the real project, but when we made the images initially, we did not want to show cables and all non poetic stuff... i ll try night versions of this :) i promise

great pic!

i7 920 D0 revision should be better choice. 3,66Ghz on air + hyperthreading!

Yo
a compliment from you is a great step for me 8) your work is amazing.

well i needed a computer fast and in the store i use to buy, it was the only thing remaining.

i7 870 has hyperthreading too  not as fast as yours, but comparing to what I had until last week, it looks like it's been sculpted by angels hahahahhaha

Render bigger!! It's an awesome scene. Perhaps the Renderfarm blitz could do you a massive one :]

Congrats for the new computer, Djegoo.
More speed = better renderings, you can do more test in less time, and adjust the final image much better than with a slow machine.
I´ll follow this thread to see more of your incredible pics.

Bye!

Heyo
This is still my favorite massive scene, just changed it to a more abstract with less materials style.

I overlayed the skethup lines with toshy with a product mask, and reduced to 25% and i m kind of satisfied of the result because it allows to recover some details we lose.

the result is not totally photorealistic but it is not my aim. i am actually trying to find my representation style.

C&C are welcome as usual

I like that style very much, clayrender with edge render combined is always nice :)
But you forgot to remove the stretched texture left of the stairs on the column :P
Also raise SuperSampling as high as your system allows to prevent Fireflies!
