beautiful. the windows dont quite seem right for some reason. That bevel is very odd, perhaps round the corners? maybe make the walls thicker so you dont directly see the light source, looks as if light is coming down a tunnel.

Do U use Exit Portals Godzilla??? It seems you don't, your image is a little bit to noisy for so long render.... tell us something about your rig!

Exit Portals will make your dream come true 8)

(also avoid pure white colors... use max of 80% (RGB 204) for faster rendering)

Exit Portals are simple plain meshes that cover every opening of your interior to the outside.
By defining your mesh as a Exit Portal, Indigo knows wehere the only holes are for your envoirement light, and concentrate on these, instead of shooting a lot of rays in space that wont hit the windows or other openings in your scene and are not relevant for you!

Be aware, that no geometry gets rendered behind these exit Portals, only light sources (also EnvMaps), also take care that the mesh normals face into your room to work probably!

I hope this helps for the start... some info about your exporter would help to show you where exactly you can setup exit Portals in your 3D app!

And Finally, just as Ono told, use Indigo 1.1.18 (or the 2.0.6 demo) :wink:

Looking really good so far.
Add a newspaper, something I find next to a cup of coffee very often, but I hardly see it in a render.

Perhaps you could upload your scene file to see if anybody can reproduce the crash?

Are your temperatures Ok? CPU running too hot? Time to clean out the dust maybe?

Might it crash due to some buffer or memory overflow?
I had a scene some weeks ago, which crashed after a certain time of rendering, too... but I never managed to locate the ecact problem.
Maybe you should try to get rid of all materials and let it render as a clay. If it runs, activate the material step by step... maybe this way you can locate the cause?

Did an overnight render, 13 Hours & 9000 SPP later, with some post-pro in photoshop, this is the result I got.




Worthy of the "Best of Indigo"? :o

Looking good.
A bit too dark maybe? I'd use a secondary light source for the left side to brighten the place up a bit.

I preferred the dark one myself. Not just preferred but loved the dark one. It has some real mood to it.

Like when you get up at 6 in the morning to get ready for work, walk into the kitchen and haven't turned the lights on yet.
