Really... no, nothing wrong on the tm side then, but the reinhard look is there to me in the interior scene... textures/colors calibration alert (contrast/saturation) !?!In the interior i used camera tonemapping, and the chair images used reinhard(anything wrong with that?XD)

Yeah, glossy !

Re: Render Book(Stromberg)
Yhea, the interior image is quite high contrasted and saturated...
Re: Render Book(Stromberg)
Cool! Though smaller light source would give nicer and more juicy caustics. (And we all love'em!) =)
Re: Render Book(Stromberg)
Yhea, i tought about using a smaller source... but then i had already started rendering.
Think i'l do that now

Re: Render Book(Stromberg)
Dont ask me about the lines on the wood, i have no idea why it's there
Re: Render Book(Stromberg)
Maybe the border UVs are out of the image's range (if you use a subdivided plane with UVs normalised per-face); if so they just need to be scaled down a little bit.Stromberg wrote:Dont ask me about the lines on the wood, i have no idea why it's there
Nice renders !
The step forward (about the glass) would be to mix the glass material with a diffuse one for dirt; playing with the blending texture or it's (a) b and c components you can balance the mix so the labertian shading is barely perceptible, and this only on a few spots. Then letting Indigo do the subdivision with a well set diplacement image might remove a bit of the glass matter and perfection.
Nice work, so far you are controling

CTZn: Thanks for the comments, and taking the time to write such good and helping replies
Well as i posted in the simple renderings topic, i have tried almost everything.
And the lines wont go away, but it's not much of a problem.
As for the glass, it's much i could do making it looks better, and i will take thoose sugestions in account next time i render a glass.
Cause that was only for fun rendering while i was at the store
2 new renders, very wip at the moment as you can see
Going to get started on texturing it soon.
If you have any suggestions, please shout them out

Re: Render Book(Stromberg)
Hey,
What's your 3D app? The city scene seems to have some normal issues (See the walls of the last building). Turn off normal smoothing for the wall.
Also I think your bump map is inverted for the ground texture.

Re: Render Book(Stromberg)
I uses Cinema4D and everything is fine with the smoothing in c4d.
I'l take a look into bump on the ground texture.

Re: Render Book(Stromberg)
can you maybe send me a reduced scene so i can have a look at it? someone else had the same problem.Stromberg wrote:I uses Cinema4D and everything is fine with the smoothing in c4d.

Re: Render Book(Stromberg)
A render i did while i was sleeping on my laptop.
It was a zbrush model i did of a hand 5 in the monrning some months ago. I'm not good at drawing neither sculpting so dont judge me on the model
