Render Book(Stromberg)
Render Book(Stromberg)
Hy there fellow render guys/girls
Well i decided to make a topic where i just trow in any indigo render that
looks decent
I have just started with indigo but i'm no render noob, have used fryrender, maxwell render and given luxrender a try just needs to wait intil a "working" c4d plugin comes out
First i have to thank PureSpider, for helping me with getting started with cindigo
So this is the images i'm going to start with, remeber it's all wips so just give suggestions and such
The shelf and teacups are modeled by me, but the rest by a friend of mine.
(Suggestions for subjects is welcome)

hey Stromberg,
glad you found your way to indigo!
talking about stuff thats not working:
the current cindigo version is probably not the best representation of the plugin, there are lots of bugs. ive got a much better version thats planned to be released with indigo 1.1 stable. but it seems that it will take a little while until its released... Zom-B is always pushing me to release it (since he already has had a taste of the stuff thats coming), so expect something in the next few days.
nice images, btw.
the room of the kitchen image seems to be a bit to short

Hi Stromberg, I have no real critic coming wich is rare. If there is something disturbing me then I can't put the finger on it, maybe it's the addition of small things, possibly only of a personal taste:
- I don't like the frontal pov, the main furniture is not the most interesting one for me. But the bar is a nice addition, I'm looking forward for others pov's.
- I'd add a dirt layer* (a very light, vanishing noise map) to (or something to be reflected in front of) the main furniture, I'm finding it too clean/homogeneous to be realistic, and the lack of (vertical ?) objects behind or beside the camera doesn't help to ehance the reflections over metallic parts, may them be glossy.
Overally I had to dig more than used to find potentially subjective issues, so I conclude that's a nice kitchen wip !
* edit: better, a procedural bump shader (see matDB I guess)

make your camera's line of sight level and 'shift' down if you want to catch the full face of the island. might also try backing up and panning left just to catch the low wall (keep the right counter corner in-frame though. A question about your ceiling. It seems low? Most fridges are not ceiling height.
